Ms. Sam earned her 2nd degree black belt at Relford Martial Arts in Nebraska in 2021. After taking a few breaks from the sport, she has always found her way back. Her love for sparring seeps into everything she does, and her life is never the same without it! After competing at both national and international tournaments for years, she is excited to have the chance to pass on her knowledge and experiences to others. When not at the dojang, Ms. Sam works with children with special needs and autism at a clinic in town. She will be graduating in December 2024 from CMU with her BA in Psychology.

Discover the difference at GVT
Our priority is to provide a high-quality and personalized experience for each individual.
Small Class Sizes
Our student-to-instructor ratio is kept low so that every martial artist gets individual instruction. Every class has a size limit, based on the age group. When classes are full, prospective students are placed on a waiting list. We want classes big enough to have great energy, but not chaos.
Your Growth, Your Speed
While we train together as a team, your black belt journey is unique to you. Students progress at different speeds, and students advance through the ranks only when ready. Our instructors draw from years of experience to help each person reach their individual best. If you earn a black belt from GVT, you and everyone around you will know that you really EARNED it.
More than just kicking
Kids love classes at GVT because of the fun, the kicking and punching, and the friends. Parents love it also because of the values and life skills we instill through each and every class. Over time, students learn discipline, confidence, self control, and much more. Our goal is to create great athletes, great martial artists, and most importantly, great people.
